Recently, the industry-leading intelligent driving solution provider JIMU Intelligent announced that it has reached a supply cooperation with an international head Tier-1 supplier in Japan, where the two parties jointly developed a camera and millimeter wave radar-based AEB (automatic emergency braking) solution for passenger cars.
The solution has been put into mass production since September 2020. JIMU Intelligent has become one of the first Chinese manufacturer that export intelligent driving core components to developed countries with influential automotive industry.
This AEB solution for passenger vehicles is based on JIMU self-developed leading vision technologies, fused with radar technologies from the Tier-1 supplier, is capable of accurate detection of vehicles, pedestrians, lanes, traffic signs and other elements, delivering vehicle and pedestrian AEB features. In the terms of hardware design, the camera and radar are integrated within one body, which makes the installation and calibration process easier.
After the close joint development of the two parties, this solution has successfully passed the AEB technical regulations test of the Japan MILT, and has been mass produced since September 2020.
Since its establishment, JIMU Intelligent has been committed to the commercialization of intelligent driving with leading artificial intelligence technology. Based on the self-leading JMNet deep learning neural network, JIMU Intelligent has launched a series of mass-producible intelligent driving solutions, which have been installed on the main vehicle models of nearly 20 leading OEMs.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Transportation of China, as of the end of 2020, JIMU Intelligent ranked top six in terms of the market share in truck ADAS field, and ranked first in the coach market.
In addition to the Japanese market, JIMU Intelligent was one of the first to pass the Korean KIAPI ADAS technical regulations test as early as 2018. With its solid technical foundation, JIMU Intelligent is currently the only Chinese intelligent driving solution provider that has passed the technical regulations of South Korea and Japan.
